The original port of Warrenpoint was built in the late 1770's. In 1919 it was sold to John Kelly and Sons who continued to operate the port until 1971 when it was sold to Warrenpoint Harbour Authorities. The port was substantially enlarged with an initial investment of approximately £6.7 million to create the modern port of Warrenpoint it is today.The port has excellent road links to the major population centres of Ireland and has taken advantage of its favourable geographical position to develop trade to and from both the North and South of Ireland.

Getting to Warrenpoint Ferry Port

Warrenpoint - From the North

In Newry centre turn left at the roundabout following signs for Warrenpoint. On arrival in Warrenpoint turn right into the main harbour entrance, the Seatruck Ferries office can be found directly ahead.

Warrenpoint - From the South

Leave the main Dublin - Belfast road at the southern end of the Newry bypass. In Newry centre turn right at the roundabout following signs for Warrenpoint. On arrival in Warrenpoint turn right into the main harbour entrance, the Seatruck Ferries office can be found directly ahead.

Photographic ID (passport or driving licence) is required to gain access to the Warrenpoint Terminal.

Opening hours - the office is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week
