About Red Funnel

With roots dating back to 1861, Red Funnel operates the largest cross-Solent vessels. The service for freight traffic between Southampton & East Cowes is operated by three identical design `Raptor' Class vessels, Red Falcon, Red Osprey and Red Eagle.

Abnormal loads up to 4.9m high and 29m long can be accommodated and there is no centre casing to hinder loading.

The crossing time between Southampton & East Cowes is 55-60 minutes. There are hourly departures between 07h00 and 21h00 and a limited overnight service.
