Newcastle upon Tyne is a city on the north bank of the River Tyne, in North East England. The freight port of Tyne (Newcastle) is situated 8 miles east of the city centre and there has been a harbour on the River Tyne for almost two thousand years. There are two main shipping lines operating from the port - DFDS Seaways and Fjord Line.
