About Grandi Navi Veloci

Founded in 1991 Grandi Navi Veloci has an operational fleet of 10 vessels including the 2002-3-built twins M/F La Suprema and M/F Superba which boast a service speed of 31 knots.

The Grandi Navi Veloci service between its home port of Genoa & Barcelona operates daily and takes 18 hours. Genoa is also the principal departure port for services to Sardinia with a thrice weekly year-round service taking 12 hours to Porto Torres. The frequency is increased to daily during the main tourist season.

The Sardinian port of Olbia is linked with Genoa with a daily seasonal service during the summer months. The crossing time on this route is 9-10 hours.

Sicily is connected to the mainland ports of Genoa, Civitavecchia and Livorno. Services from Genoa are daily with a crossing time of 20 hours. The connection between Civitavecchia & Palermo is shared between Grandi Navi Veloci and SNAV and these also operate every day, the crossing taking 12-15 hours. There are three weekly rotations linking Livorno & Palermo.

Malta is served as an extension of one of the twice weekly from Genoa to Tunis. Tunis also sees a weekly sailing from Civitavecchia via Palermo.

The Grandi Navi Veloci connection between mainland Europe and North Africa is maintained by a thrice weekly rotation operating between Genoa and Tangiers via Barcelona and is usually shared by M/F Majestic and M/F Excelsior.
